What types of LED products does Pixel Apex offer?

Pixel Apex offers a full range of Micro LED display solutions including LED walls, digital posters, DJ booths, dance floors, stage lighting, speakers, and advertising displays — all designed for venues, events, and high-impact environments.

What does "Pixel Pitch" mean?

Pixel Pitch — the distance in millimeters between the center of each Micro-LED pixel. A lower number means higher resolution and sharper image quality. The lowest is typically P1.5 for very close viewing, however this pitch tends to double or triple the price of any unit. Pixel Apex offers most of their products in P2.5, ideal for close-viewing applications like digital posters and DJ booths between 1 yd - 20 yds. Our indoor units have a GOB protective bonding film that prevents damages from impact, scratches, and liquids. Keep in mind that this will limit brightness over very far distances. Far-distance viewing inside of stadiums, or outside on buildings does not have this film (but is still weather resistant) for brighter visibility at distance. A much wider pixel pitch (that goes un-noticed at distance) is the best choice for architecturally-scaled displays, such as P3.9 to P7.2, or even greater. Nearly all of our products can be custom ordered at any pixel pitch, but with a much longer lead time.

Are your LED displays suitable for outdoor use?

Some of our products are rated for outdoor use. Please check the individual product specifications or contact us to confirm suitability for your specific environment.

Can LED displays be customized in size?

Yes — While our immediately available products come in set dimensions, our LED Walls and Dance Floors can be configured in custom sizes to fit your space. Contact us to discuss your requirements.

What is the difference between LED and MicroLED?

MicroLED (advanced display technology), is fundamentally different from a regular LED screen.

While a regular LED TV/monitor uses large LED bulbs to act as a backlight for an LCD screen, MicroLED uses millions of microscopic, self-emitting LEDs that individually act as the actual pixels.

Here is how a MicroLED display differs from a traditional LED display across key metrics:

1. Contrast and Black Levels

  • Regular LED: Relies on an LCD panel and backlights. Because LCD crystals cannot block 100% of light, "blacks" often appear as a dull gray, and light can bleed into dark areas.
  • MicroLED: Each microscopic LED can be turned off entirely. This produces true, inky blacks and infinite contrast.

2. Brightness and Efficiency

  • Regular LED: Uses a global or zoned backlight (like Mini-LED), which limits peak brightness potential.
  • MicroLED: Because there is no LCD layer blocking the light and each sub-pixel is its own powerful light source, it delivers significantly higher overall brightness and vivid colors without requiring as much power as traditional backlighting.

3. Lifespan and Risk of Burn-in

  • Regular LED: Traditional LED-LCDs degrade over time depending on how heavily the backlight is utilized.
  • MicroLED: Uses inorganic materials (like gallium nitride) which do not degrade as quickly. They offer a much longer operational lifespan with virtually zero risk of image burn-in.

4. Design Flexibility

  • Regular LED: Constrained to fixed dimensions and aspect ratios (like 16x9) with an LCD layer.
  • MicroLED: Displays are highly modular, meaning you can build or scale a screen into custom shapes, sizes, and aspect ratios.
